6 Ways You Can Help Fight Clothing Poverty in 2026

ree

Here at Clothing Collective we are approaching the next 12 months with the same determination to fulfil our mission of providing access to clothing for people in need in a sustainable way. And in doing so, we are aiming to help fight clothing poverty.

With more people than ever experiencing clothing poverty - which means they cannot afford to buy clothing for themselves or their families - it's more important than ever that we all try to help in any way we can.

Our model works by us raising funds to buy Charity Shop Gift Cards, that are distributed to people who need them, via our partner organisations. Whilst monthly donations are very welcome, you can help raise funds in several different ways too.

Here's 6 ways you can support us in 2026:

  1. Take part in an event

We have partnered with RunForCharity to give you access to over 750 events across the UK. By choosing us as the charity to raise fund for, we then benefit directly from that.

We often have places for popular running events that have already sold out.

Find out which events are coming up in your area in 2026 here: https://www.clothingcollective.org/events

  1. Donate clothes via reDONATE UK

Having a clear-out of your unwanted clothing is not only going to give you more space and less clutter, but you can also help us in the process.

We have an establshed partnership with reDonate who run a brilliant service collecting unwanted clothes from your doorstep.

Simply go through your wardrobe, drawers and cupboards, bag them up and use reDonate's website to arrange a FREE collection.

  1. Use one of our online shopping partners

Online shopping is part of most peoples' everyday lives now. But did you know you can actually help benefit us when you do it, often for no extra cost to you?

We have partnerships with a number of services, including the likes of: easyfundraising. Give As You Live, eBay, DontSendMeACard and Recyle4Charity.

Simply choose one, click through to their website and then we will benefit.

  1. Set-up a regular donation

We know that times are tough for many, however if you do feel that you are able to give some money on a regular basis, then this will really make a difference to the impact we can make.

Through our online donation service, you can select to give regularly, choose how often to give and the amount.

It's simple to do and will only take you a few minutes.

  1. Ask your work to support

We welcome support from all types of businesses, whether that's a formal corporate partnership, such as the one we have with Consultiv Utilities, or you simply organising a fundraising event at work with your colleagues.

  1. Volunteer for us

As a small charity, we rely on our volunteers who give their time generously to help us in a variety of roles.

From bid writers to content creators or even trustees, our volunteers make us the charity we are today.

You can keep an eye on volunteer roles via our LinkedIn page or on the Reach Volunteering website.

Whatever you choose to do for us, every penny will make a difference to changing the lives of others and helping to fight clothing poverty.
