For us as a small charity, growing our awareness is a really important thing to do. This directly helps us to achieve our mission of helping to provide clothing to people in need.
To help do this, we have started to recruit a group of new ambassadors, who will use their own networks and connections to promote Clothing Collective and draw attention to the work we do, plus to the issues of clothing poverty here in the UK.
These ambassadors all have some things in common - their love of thrifting, second hand or preloved clothes (or other items) and a keen interest in using charity shops for many of their purchases.
This perfectly aligns with us as a charity, especially as the way we support people in need is to provide them with Charity Shop Gift Cards to use in charity shops to choose clothing.
Introducing our new ambassadors
We are pleased to announce that our first wave of thrifter ambassadors are:
Emma Wesley - @thecharityshopchick

Ruth Jobson - @charityshopping_ruthy

Penny Salman - @threadsforapenny

You can read the bios our new thrifter ambassadors here, alongside our celebrity ambassadors of Peter Duncan, Nigel Lindsay and Dame Prue Leith.
Our ambassadors will be helping to spread the word for us over the next few months (and beyond), so keep an eye here and on our socials for more information.
