This Small Charity Week (22–29 June), Clothing Collective is proud to be part of a national celebration of the vital role small charities play in communities across the UK.
This year’s campaign, Small charities. Big impact., shines a light on the difference small charities make every day, supporting people, strengthening communities and creating change where it matters most.
In the UK, small charities like ours play a crucial role in raising awareness of clothing poverty and helping provide people with access to warm and clean clothing. Clothing Collective supports tackling clothing poverty, helping to create connection, opportunity and support for those who need it.
Small charities are where change really happens. They are rooted in their communities, responding quickly to local needs and providing support that fits real people and real places.
At a time when many communities are facing increasing pressure, their role has never been more important.
“Small charities are part of the fabric of our communities. Every day we see the difference that local, trusted support can make to people’s lives. Small Charity Week is a chance to recognise that impact and to make sure the voices of small charities, and the communities we support, are seen and heard.”
Antony Wroe, CEO and founder of Clothing Collective
A spokesperson for Small Charity Week said:
“Small charities may be small in size, but they are BIG in impact.
They are creating change in communities every day, often quietly and without recognition. Small Charity Week is a moment to celebrate that impact and to stand behind the organisations making it happen.”
Small Charity Week is a moment to recognise and back the work of small charities across the UK.
Because when small charities thrive, communities thrive. And when communities thrive, society is stronger.
