CHRISTMAS APPEAL 2024
Give the gift of warm clothes to people in need this Christmas time
Why we are doing this

Here’s just a few reasons why this appeal is critical right now...
-
4.1 million children are living in relative poverty
-
Over half a million children in London living in poverty
-
11,018 people slept rough in London last year – this is set to be higher this year

Our appeal

This year we are asking you to support our appeal, which aims to raise as much money as possible to allow us to continue helping and supporting people in our communities such as families living in poverty and homeless adults who struggle to clothe themselves, especially in the cold winter months ahead.
This year we have identified two specific support agencies, 'Miracles the Charity' and 'Thames Reach' who we will focus on working with during this time, allocating significant support with the provision of our Charity Shop Gift Cards, with funds raised from our Christmas campaign.
How you can help
We would love you to be part of this appeal and are asking people to donate today.
Just £20 will allow us to purchase a gift card and allow someone to buy a secondhand jacket, or perhaps a jumper and hat.
By providing gift cards to people, we are not only giving people the chance to buy some warm clothing for themselves or their family, but we are also letting them choose what they want to wear. This gives them dignity and more self-respect than simply providing clothing.
Remember when you donate to also check the Gift Aid box, if you are eligible to do so. This automatically increases your donation at no extra cost to you.
Please also share this campaign with your friends, family and work colleagues – together we can make a big difference to the lives of people in need this Christmas.
Our appeal closes at midnight on Christmas Eve, so get donating today!
More about the beneficiaries

Here’s a bit more information about the two charities our appeal is supporting.

Thames Reach

Thames Reach’s mission is to help people who are homeless or vulnerable to find decent homes, build supportive relationships and lead fulfilling lives.
Everyone at Thames Reach is working to end street homelessness, and all parts of the organisation have important contributions to make.
Thames Reach works directly with homeless people on the streets and in hostels. They also work hard to stop vulnerable people from becoming homeless in the first place.
