How to Support Clothing Collective Without Spending More With Easyfundraising

Like all charities, we spend a lot of our time fundraising. But, as the cost of living crisis hits more households hard, we’re also looking for ways to make it easier for people to support our work. Which is why we’re proud to be registered with Easyfundraising, a platform that collects donations from the brands and retailers you shop with.

Of course, every charity is also motivated by a particular cause, and we saw an opportunity to provide clothing to the people who need it the most.

Why We Set Up Clothing Collective

We started Clothing Collective to help provide clothing to people experiencing homelessness in the UK. Providing access to essential clothing is crucial, especially during the winter. But it’s also important to do this in a way that creates agency and dignity for the people that were trying to reach.

There is also a surplus of clothing donated to the UK’s charity shops. So we decided to create a system that creates access where a wide selection of secondhand clothes are readily available.

By partnering with charity shops and operating a gift-card donation system, people can come into the shop and select their own clothes. Gift cards can be collected from any of our distribution partners including select food banks, community centres and charity organisations.

There are many organisations helping to tackle poverty, but it affects every aspect of life. When faced with a lack of food and shelter, clothing may seem like a lower priority. But having warm layers and suitable footwear is also a basic human need. And that’s what Clothing Collective is here to address.

Give as You Shop With Easyfundraising

We know that more people are experiencing poverty, but for those who can, there is a simple way to make a difference, without spending extra. You can give as you shop with Easyfundraising, which means that over 7000 brands and retailers will donate up to 10 per cent of the retail value to us for FREE every time you shop with them.

How You Can Help Raise Funds Without Spending More Money

One of the main challenges for smaller charities is coming up with fundraising ideas, especially as household purse strings get tighter. Understandably, for a growing number of people, giving to charity isn’t currently an option. But, there is still a way to support our work at no extra cost to you. Partnerships and fundraising tools make a huge difference to Clothing Collective, as Karen Penny, one of our trustees explains.

‘As a Trustee of Clothing Collective I’m always looking for ways to increase donations and I couldn’t believe how simple it is to raise funds through easyfundraising.org.uk. I’ve set up a reminder so every time I shop online Easyfundraising lets me know if that retailer is a partner. I click on the button and a donation is automatically made by the retailer to the cause of my choice, Clothing Collective. It’s so straightforward and doesn’t cost me a penny, just a moment of my time to make a difference to someone in need.’

By signing with Easyfundraising, you can support Clothing Collective when you shop online and help us raise funds without spending a penny extra.

You can help do good and help provide essential clothing in a couple of clicks. Just follow these simple steps:

1. Go to https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/clothingcollective /?utm_campaign=raise-more and join for free.

2. Every time you shop online, go to easyfundraising first to find the site you want and start shopping.

You Can Help Us to Provide Essential Clothing Items for Winter and Beyond

Every donation made via Easyfundraising will help Clothing Collective in our aim to provide essential clothing for children, young people and adults who simply can’t afford to buy them. From warm jumpers to weatherproof coats to decent pairs of shoes – your donations will help to keep them warm and dry this winter and keep providing fresh clothing throughout the rest of the year.
